There is an alternate reality called "Ruins", in which stuff is all messed up. Things and events that resulted in superpowers in the regular Marvel universe, ended up gruesomely mutating or killing the people in the Ruins universe.

The Peter Parker of that universe contracted a fatal and highly contagious disease from the spider, instead of powers. Pictures from Ruins are pretty messed up, but I suppose it would make decent morbid-channel content.
