I fucking came when that happened. Amon is by far one of the most interesting characters in all the Avatar series, and when he kept approaching Tarlock I felt like Amon was a badass hero. If it wasn't for taking away the metalbending Cheif Bay Fong's officers, I would consider Amon a good guy. Fucking great episode though.

he is a good guy though thats what makes him so interesting whether many see it that way he is chaotic good and many unseen in the series are with him. the only reason why we and the main characters see him as a villain is that we are following the side of the benders and we see most of its good side in this series and when we do see the bad theres always another bender to combat it. he to many he is the dark knight republic city deserves, just not the one it needs right now.

(actually if you think about it he has a lot of similarities to batman especially with the fact he doesnt kill)

he is similar to batman or V in respect to his actions. currently id rate him at batman standards but if he personally does begin to kill people he would go to V status in my mind

it was most likely chi blocking or electricity from the equalitist weapons, chi blocking can cause people to lose control of their limbs and be unable to move as well as bend depending on the degree that its used and electricity can do the same although they use it to knock people out generally it can be used as temporary paralysis

well only thing i can say is
1. images from the show that are "leaked" are easy to fake, similar to the picture of amon with his mask off it was proven to be a fake although it looks EXTREMELY similar to the shows art style

although to add a quick explination to the possibilities is that the bloodbenders stance is not specific to that style it can easily be mimicked by someone jumping backwards in retort or even amon for example pulling back to take away someones bending weve seen this before. if anything amon is an energy bender giving him minor abilities if practiced as that of the avatar but thats still unlikely. my guess is pictures are fake leaked images or theyre taken way out of context

my guess is that hes trained defensively against bending including blood bending, best guess if he is a bender is hes an energy bender

When I saw Amon still walking I thought to myself "Tarlok, you dun goofd."

That just makes him scary.

Well it actually stopped him for a second, like it slowed him down but then he just ate it and took Tarlocks bending..I was so happy when that fucker couldnt bend anymore. I think hes just trained to resist all types of bending.

Then I were a kid, I watched the star wars movies and thought, that Darth vader were the most awesome thing in the universe, even then he were the bad guy. Luke were a nobody compared to him.

And today I begin to have the same feeling with Amon...
With a little luck there could be a nice guy under that mask, like vader.

If you think about it, despite his dislike of all benders, Amon has really only taken out those who abuse their bending.

I don't feel that Korra has really abused her bending.

He didn't take away Korra's bending.
Not even when he could have, he said he was going to save her for last.

But he plans to, and she hasn't done anything but good for the city, in her own heavy-handed way. What about the metalbending officers that he took the bending away from?

Like I said, he's got a distaste for ALL benders.
But I respect him for taking awar Tarlok's.
I love seeing everyone come up with different Amon theories
then the show's like "you're wrong"

Thumbs for the interesting conversation. I think Amon's kind of terrifying. He's immune to bloodbending... wut?

Aside from the Avatar (in the Avatar State), the only others that are immune to bloodbending are other bloodbenders as Katara demonstrated when Hama tried to bloodbend her.

But I can't imagine that Amon is a bender of any kind, unless he lost his bending when the firebender mutilated him. Is that possible? It could explain his obsession with "equalizing" the world.

I don't think firebending can take away bending...
Maybe Amon IS a bender and he's just hiding it or something.
Or his parents were benders and taught him how to block bending from a distance.

If I was going by cool factor, I'd be a complete Amon fanboy,

but my past Avatar experience wants me to have hope in Team Avatar.

I think Korra and Amon are going to end up as friends, or having some respect for the other. Korra is going to show Amon that bending in itself is not such a bad thing and that they (benders and non benders) don't have to be enemies, while Amon is going to show that he truly is a just person, just misguided by his past.

Amon's philosophy is half right, there are a lot of bad people out there and use their bending for bad things.

So most of us can see where he's coming from.

Only problem is, he wants to get rid of ALL Benders; good or bad.
If he launched a campaign against benders who used their power for evil, we'd find ourselves agreeing with him more often.
