Actually, when you find a tick, you shouldn't take it out with tweezers because the head might snap off and fall inside. You're supposed to either smear vaseline all over the part of the tick that's on the outside of the cat/dog/horse etc so that it clogs the ticks breathing holes and it suffocates.
Either that, or buy a tick remover.
