You think your better? All I did was reason as to why Gearge Lucas would use green screen, then you come up, and say that it looks horrible as if you thought that was fact. All I did was tell you that it's just opinion, and people actually like green screen. Yet, all you seem to be doing is coming up with shitty arguments like, I'm paranoid, or you are typical trash.

You know what? You're right, maybe I should learn how to communicate more efficiently. I'll learn from you, and start attacking the other person's argument whenever they use reasoning to explain as why things work, or happen.

He can say what he likes, but I'm one of the EXTREME few who actually enjoyed the prequels. I consider them completely separate entities to the originals, and just enjoyed watching them in that regard.

There was not one scene in Revenge of the Sith that didn't have CGI. George Lucas sat behind his litttle computer screen while the actors walked around a green room. Compare that to the actual work his cast did on the original trilogy. Yes, CGI is a great advancement in technology and is great when used appropiately, take Christopher Nolan's Batman movies. He mixes real explosions and stunts with CGI creating a convincing effect, while Lucas sits on his fat ass drinking his coffee creating the simplest of things. I personally hate how it looks, everything looks like fake blocky, shit. There really is nothing there. When Ewan Mcgregor fights the lizard with cancer you'll notice Ewan's fucking facial expressions don't change and there is no acting there, especially when General Grievious wips out like 4 lightsabers 2 feet away from him and starts swinging them. As an actor, he was told General Grievious would be there and he'd pull out the lightsabers. But he was just staring at a blank fucking screen. I don't blame him for not being able to react appropiately. It's not necessarily the CGI ruining film, but more the lazy directors who get to use it.

I didn't say anything about Star Wars itself, just CGI in general. If CGI is done right, it's hundreds of times better than the alternatives with just a bigger computational workload than a physical one instead, so big deal. Just don't get shit directors.

You're first point is true but doesn't matter much on your TV or in the movie theaters. The second point is also true, but to make a computer animation comply to physics just the same as everything else on screen is extremely difficult. Just look at video games today, the most advanced engine currently is, I think, unreal 3. It took years to get something that good and will take much longer to perfect, in fact, it takes a machine 10x more powerful that the xbox 360 to take full advantage of unreal 3.

doesn't make you more creative though. apart from the fact that you are not limited with what you can do with CGI, its takes way more creativity to say " okay, i need to figure out how the fuck im gonna do this and make it look real when all i have is dish soap, a cardboard box, and a watermelon. but in george lucas' case, he made it work with what he had. and he made some damn good movies.

Agreed, but there you have starting materials. With technology, you start with a clear uninspiring screen and you have to start basically from scratch in the professional world, though there are templates to help, there's more than meets the eye in this sort of thing.

Good point, but don't underestimate the skill required to write an fast and efficient program. IDK how this stacks up with other algorithms, but I designed an algorithm in Java that can factor a 19-digit number in 21 seconds on my laptop with an i5 quad core at 2.4 gHz.. I used factoring because there are no clear cut rules in writing a program to factor a number because every single number has a unique set of factor/divisors.

no no, don't get me wrong my friend, i am aware of how much it takes to do this. just a different type of skill required to do each thing. whether it be making stuff out of household items, or writing a complex algorithm.

For some reason they thought Han wasnt a good role model if he shoot Greedo without Greedo being given a chance to defend himself so they edited the movie to add a lazerblast from Greedos blaster slightly before Han shoots and they basicly moved Hans head back a little to make it look like he dodges it then they just had his head slide back into place. THE MORE YOU KNOW!!

And it looked much better...
