I dont think so, and from a eco standpoint their still not even good, barely getting 45mpg where theres plenty others that are alot better

While yes. It does get amazing mileage due to the balance of gas an electric it is also more harmful to the environment.    
   
Nickle is used for the batteries as a main component.    
Look up Nickle mining. Nasty business and does more damage to the environment than you would expect.
