I'm a girl and I play videogames. I dont play too much, but I do like lots of mario games, portal sometimes, amnesia sometimes, Alice: Madness Returns, pikmin and of course, pokemon. There's a few more, but I cant remmebr right now.
I don't think I earn the title "gamer" because I don't play that many video games, but one of my other gal pals (who considers herself a nerd and only plays pikmin, all the facebook games and zelda) calls me a gamer girl.
Of course, I'm thinking "what does she know?" but what if she's right? So, am I gamer, a nerd or whaaat? What am I? Nothing in that area maybe?

therobawesome (06/08/2012) [-] A gamer would be someone who spends a good chuck of their time playing games and/or in the video game sub-culture (E3 as a good recent example).
A nerd is generally a derogatory term depending on who you talk to, but generally a social outcast, NOT an ironic statement.
Now you should feel more confident to place the labels on you.

AnonymousWraith (06/08/2012) [-] I usually dont really care, but some of the guys I know are like "Oh! You play pokemon, too? Are you a gamer?!" and, if I say "yes" then they'll start quizing me on bigger video games that I don't know anything about, but if I say "no" then they'll think I'm just being coy and wanting attention or whatever.
