Fuck your cars!!

to save memory, games like GTA and Saint's row only spawn roughly 5 types of car at any one time *unless specifically programmed otherwise* this way it can just use recolored/modded versions of the same 5 models of car to populate the zone you are currently in. As soon as all of Car A are off screen it may decide to swap that model for Car F and so on So it seamlessly cycles through all available cars.



The only problem with this though is that one of the 5 or so models will always be the car you are currently driving, so no matter what car/vehicle you car currently in, you will always find more of them wherever you drive. Even if you are not in the "hotspot" zone for finding that type of car.

It's like that so you can find another one quickly, in case you wreck.

When you're on funnyjunk for about 10minutes and you find a good GTA post...then 3 seconds later its everywhere -_-.

whenever i do that the car ends up on fire with bullet holes everywhere from me trying to kill the driver so I can get to the car

finally took the driver out of his seat, drive 5 seconds with the car and flip it upside down

I did this all the time. Fuck

Then i wreck it or lose it and never find one again

I'm going to tell you why.
It's really resource intensive to just constantly be spawning a random generation of vehicles, so, Rockstar came up with a pretty genious idea.
Whenever you get a car, it's a 50/50 chance it will spawn again, and again, so it can just remember to spawn that car half the time, and the rest of the resources can be put into another use.
