Well, the COD fanboys do kind of have a point... They're being forced to release a game every year, which is totally ridiculous. There really is only so much you can do with FPS's or any game genre for that matter.

I mean, look at Battlefield. They have consistently made amazing games for as long as I can remember. They're all the same genre, and basically the same premise, but they actually take longer than 8 months to create a game. How long did it take for BF3 to come out? 6 years after BF2? There's a reason it's so amazing. DICE has their shit together, and unlike CoD, they aren't mass producing cookie-cutter games year after year to stuff their pockets with money.

CoD is dying. The developers are pushing it as is with the time table, and honestly, I don't think that the writers can drag this same, increasingly cliche plot out any longer. So they're going to introduce a future fighter game? Awesome! Just like every Ghost Recon game...And Battlefield 2142...And End war...And countless other games that I'm forgetting. It's been done a million times before, and just look at the trailer for Black OPs 2... Frankly, it looks like a high school CS student could make a better quality game. And that's the trailer!! The trailers are supposed to have the crazy jacked up quality and the awesome graphics! Not this one. They're rushing the releases, and they're going to produce a really disappointing game. Even by CoD standards...I know everyone's going to buy it regardless of how terrible it is, but still. I really feel like this one will hurt the franchise.

Sorry for ranting and typing way too much, and sorry if I pissed off the fanboys. Frankly, I have no idea why you would ever play any of the recent Call of Duty games, but that's just me.

tl;dr - CoD is releaseing too many games in too small of a time period. Their newest "game", Black OPs 2 is going to blow a chode, and most likely be one of the final nails in their coffins.... BF3 is better.....
