Honestly it was one of my favorite "sitcoms" mainly because My family pretty much ran like that

same i watched it every morning! the mom just pissed me off so muchhh. and did you see the one episode where malcolm had to get a surgery and he found out before the doctors that he didn't need one? that whole episode filled me with so much hatred!

I felt that the boys brought it on themselves. The mother, while completely crazy and overdramatic and overbearing, had good reason to be so. Francis was a demon child, and her next three, with the exception of Dewey, were little demons as well. Even Dewey had his moments. If I was Lois, I probably would have been a little nuts as well. She really only tried to do her best for her boys.

idk i think it worked both ways. they became bad because she was bad because francis was bad. god damnit francis!

This is true. But Lois tried her best to be one of those "By The Book" parents and it didn't work. Honestly, with all her crazy, the only one who turned out bad was Francis, and that's because he refused to take responsibility for any of his actions. In the final episode, Reese has a job, Malcolm is in College, Dewey is composing music like a boss, and lois gets pregnant again. She is crazy as fuck, but she did a good job raising her kids. In her own demented way. She actually reminds me a lot of my own mother. I used to watch that show with my family every sunday. As I grew up, so did they. I watched their life and drew from the parallels in my own. The show gave me more feels than anything I have ever seen. I knew that my childhood was over and I was ready to move on to the next thing when the end credits rolled on the final episode. Malcolm in the Middle is the only show on TV I can say my childhood would not have been the same without.

just so you know Francis turned out good as well, he has a job in an office, a wife too, plus he has also matured a lot.

The last I saw of francis, maybe I missed a part of the show going to the bathroom or something, was him in an apartment, stealing cable, unshaved, after Piama left him and he got fired from otto's ranch for stealing.

yeah, he got back together with piama. He didn't steal from otto's ranch, the money he had been told to put away which he was depositing for otto was scammed or something. But he got a job as an office guy and his life has gotten better now
