never once understood why bug type attacks are super effective
against dark pokemon? like why-.

Bug is supereffective against dark
because dark represents fears and
phobias. This is also the reason
why dark is supereffective against
Pokemon (fear of
ghosts). Psychic represents the
mind, and it' s good against fighting
because of the saying "mind over
muscle".
Some other interesting facts about
types:
Psychic is good against poison,
because of how scientists use their
minds to find cures for poisons and
illnesses.
Ice is good against
Pokemon, because birds move
south in the winter.
Ghost and dark are good against
psychic, because they are fears
themselves, and even a clever mind
has fears. Bug type is also good
against psychic, because of the fear
cybugs,
Dark is weak against fighting,
because dark moves are cheap and
a true fighter will allways surpass
evil.

I prefer to think that ice is supereffective on flying because a bird can't fly if it is frozen solid.

Actually, these types are super effective against each other because THAT'S THE WAY THE GAME IS FUCKING BALANCED YOU PIECE OF DICK. Bug sucks, and so is given a power against psychic and dark, which have few weaknesses. Also, the few cannon reasons given for super-efficacy make way more fucking sense than your shit.

I think that ghost is SE against psychic because ghosts are supernatural beings and mind cannot comprehend them. I have theories for pretty much every type match up but I have to say that I haven't come up with a good theory for this bug/dark thingy. Your theory is a little bit too far fetched for me but at least you have a theory.
