8 year old Feel
Uploaded by: darksouldew
Eight-year-old Christian Golczynski accepts the flag for his father, Marine Staff Sgt. Marc Golczynski, during a memorial service. Marc Golczynski was shot on patrol during his second tour in Iraq (which he had volunteered for) just a few weeks before he was due to return home.

It's a shame that with everything that we have achieved as a species: Walking on the moon, curing deadly diseases, discovering the very formation of our universe, we've yet to discover and agree on a more intelligent and fulfilling way of illustrating opposing opinions on international arguments. The weapons change. War stays the same.

I don't feel bad for the guy who died. But I do feel bad for his kid, because he didn't choose to send his father to war.
