I used to just respond with "nope" and toss my pencil over to my right hand and continue like it was nothing. Made a lot of teachers confused as hell when I would continue to write with my right hand for weeks, and then suddenly write with my left hand randomly.

Yup. When I was learning to write in cursive my teacher forced me to write with my right hand cause she was Catholic and believed that left handed children were the spawn of Satan.

Oh, I've heard of teachers like that...>.> I was born ambidextrous - useful if one hand gets tired in a test or if you want to use any pair of scissors, but unlucky for other things...
