Well he is kind of a snidely, scheming jackass...He's not really a cool villain.

Loki on contrare is one of the best marvel villians. IMO
His motives have never wavered. He is a genius and only really fails becuase Thor is the strongest Marvell hero there is. Or rather he becomes that. He is a master strategist , and in terms of combat he matches Thor. Plus Loki makes you want him to be dead witch to me is the mark of a good Vilan.

I like villains that I want to live and have a cause, and that I can get behind, like Magneto.
I also like villains that are just so evil you can't want them to win, but at the same time you do, like Joker.

The master strategist, being a god thing is fine and good, but I really dislike villains like Loki, because of the way he is.

let me say, that first type of person you said, that's not a villain. that's an anti-hero

Magneto is an superb villain I agree with you. He has a cause that can be semi justified , and he isn't a bad guy to everyone just the x-men and humans. The only rendition of the joker I liked was the movie version.

I mean I can't say Loki isn't a good villain, I just don't like his personality. I mean he reminds of Starscream from Transformers, who is in my opinion one of the most annoying villains of all time.

And Joker in the movie is sort of how he is in the comics, it's just more...Comic-Booky.
