Satanists each have their own view on "God" my view in god is that it isnt the God Christians worship but i am my own God (in a way). If i want something, i take it or earn it myself, not pray for it. Satan isnt a being but a symbol for individuality, thats just for me.

Some things in the Bible never happened, but are meant to teach a lesson. People during that time also had a narrow view of the concept of God and Jesus, and what his intentions actually were. They blamed things on him as if God was "on their side" in things like wars. (which is actually the definition of taking God's name in vain, saying his name isn't wrong) So things like natural disasters that are counted as God's doing in the Bible, and metaphorical stories of "God's wrath" where he massacres cities actually make up for a lot of the deaths counted in the bible where God supposedly killed someone.

well, i was talking about the old testament, but what you said is true of the new, however the new testament was only put together around 3-400 years ago by the church/monarchy so to take what it says literally you have to be very stupid indeed.

But arguing is good, if I dont believe the same as you, I want to understand why you believe what you believe, and I want you to try and convince me with solid arguments that you are right, and I will try and convince you. Dont look at it as something bad, we will both learn something and maybe we will change our beliefs, if only very little, but enough to make a difference. But then again, it depends what sort of debate well have. If its a debate about whether there is a big guy in the clouds that listens to everyone and created the Universe in 7 days, I wont take you seriously, because this is an idea that is just very archaic. But if you ask me if theres anything bigger and more powerful and that i have no idea what it is, and this might be god, Im gonna counter argue until either one of us change our mind. Think of it as the search for truth, you cant just find the truth to some things, but that doesnt mean you should believe what others have written and passed on to others because they couldnt explain it. If the bible would be a scientific research book about those times, it would be regarded as a horrible source, because of all the changes to the stories that happened, from being passed on mouth to mouth. Its weird that whole civilizations were created around this book, just because someones parents or relatives were christians so their children had to believe in what they believe, because its right, apparently. Apart from all the very archaic ideas that are portrayed in the bible, such as slavery, is just a sign that this is not a book from a supreme being that wanted good for all. If god exists, he is cruel, cruel for all the innocent people that were slaughtered in his name, cruel for not stopping the aggressors that carry His name. It seems to me the idea of God is becoming more of a philosophical question, since nobody in a serious, intelligent debate will argue that God created everything adn is almighty and watches us, and we're all alone,

I'm not sure about it saying to 'Kill' gays, though it migh, but it does not say to 'hate' them, it' just this 'behaviour' was deemed unrighteous by god and there for should be punnished by the means of the people and the time they lived in. But that is ALL in the old testiment which is Jewdism. In the new testiment Jesus says in Luke 6 vs 37 ''Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. Do not condem others or it will all come back against you. Forgive others and you will be forgiven''
So here Jesus is telling you to no longer judge and condem other people and to forgive others of their wrong doing. This is Christian teaching. OK, so what is a day? It's a full rotation of the earth which is 24hrs, BUT if on the 1st day there was no earth then you can't then get the mesurment of 24hrs. There for it's 7periods of time or 7days of God and as God is Infinit 1day for him is quite easly billions of years for us. Which then means that God created the world using Evolution. Coz if you study evolution in depth it does not explain how all life on earth arrose. (for example a feather doesn't just apear, nor does the inbetween stages help increase survival rate of it's wearer. So a extra push, from god, was need. But this point is a very long one). And I believe the death only reffered to Humans, not all life. But it could also be symbolic of meaning Spiritual Death, as it says in Leviticus some where that when you die ''you cease to be consious and it is like you are in an eternal sleep''. It does not teach that you go straight to heaven, but that your spirit is resurected at the coming back of Christ and Heaven onto Earth.
Finnaly in regards to the Leviticus refference all i can say again is that was during Jewish times, when Man was separated from the spirit of God, which is why Jesus came to reconnect us and teach us how to truly live in God way.

i've just always thought of an arguement as when some one takes the view of ''im right, you're wrong and im gonna shout at you till you think like me''. Where as a debate is a sensible discussion between two people who are both willing to see the others point of view and learn somthing.

The "Devil" is never mentioned ANYWHERE in the bible, but a "Tempter" is present in the story of Eden as a serpent (which is actually a bastardization of an older Summarian God to make it seem evil). The name Satan or Devil doesn't show up in Christianity at all until about 800 A.D. when priests started realizing if they told people they'd go to a fiery hell they'd show up more to Church, and consequently buy more Indulgences.
