The fact that they reused him as Captain America just shows that also Marvel is trying to forget about the FF movies and that they don't consider them canon.

It's kinda like the AvP movies. Let's just pretend they never happened.

Marvel has nothing to do with the Spiderman movies. That's Sony.

I'm just stating how stupid it is, it wasn't aimed specifically at Marvel, it was aimed at anyone who believes rebooting a film series only a few years after the films had been so successful.

no marvel movie is canon anyway.. it's not as if toby macguire's spiderman isn't canon anymore because they're making a new one, it's basically just another movie, period..

But the human torch dies in the comics anyways, so they could just play it off as he died and then no more problem with having the same guy as Captain America.

The rights to FF, x-men and some other marvel series belong to different companies and that's why they re-used him. He was a good actor and they thought he would be good in the movie. You are a ******* idiot badmouthing people for things you haven't bothered to learn about yourself

Wow, so much fail in one post. The fact that they reuse an actor from one movie to another has nothing to do with who does or does not own the rights to the movie. Just because company A owns the rights to one movie does not mean that company B has never seen it or somehow feels they should ignore it. Also, no matter which company owns the rights, Marvel studios has been involved in all recent Marvel movies, and Kevin Feige was a producer on both FF and Avengers. Of course, you don't even know who Kevin Feige is, as you are just an extremely clueless anon.

And even if I didn't know all of these things, my assessment of the FF movie has nothing to do with my knowledge about studio politics.

That was just one scene though, for most of the movie he looked almost exactly like his comic iteration.

I guess it's the whole "final boss" notion; the villian's never quite finished with us until they've donned some greater form, for one last fling.

I just meant there's times where they're similar. Now and again, a villian will suddenly take on some new form, akin to the way last bosses from games do.
