two words, water tight
air can flow but water is kept out

With the constant amount of water of the ball, even the thinnest layer of water, no air would be able to get in, for that to happen, the ball would need to be waterproof.

put water tight holes around the ball... not so many it makes a big hole, but like 30-40 around the entire thing

what a silly argument were gonna have here
User avatar #64 to #61 - endofttme (05/31/2012) [-]
Would water not cover the holes? It wouldn't go THROUGH them, but it would cover them. And air can't go through the water, which means it would only work if you stopped and gave time for water to run off of it. (Major inconvenience,)
Also rolling around in the ball you couldn't say something wouldn't get STUCK to the ball.

dont go and sink yourself
#68 to #67 - endofttme (05/31/2012) [-]
What does that have to do with the argument?
User avatar #69 to #68 - juhoy (05/31/2012) [-]
you wouldnt cover ALL the holes unless you sink
User avatar #70 to #69 - endofttme (05/31/2012) [-]
Yeh, but the holes would be covered and you would lose oxygen.
User avatar #72 to #70 - juhoy (05/31/2012) [-]
covered in dust and things?
they would be too big to block the hole
User avatar #75 to #72 - endofttme (05/31/2012) [-]
No, if the ball is going through water it'd be spinning at an averagelly fast speed, in which the water would be in a way COVERING the ball in a thin sheet of water, making it difficult to get air.

more holes?
you got me there
User avatar #78 to #76 - endofttme (05/31/2012) [-]
You COULD do it if you go EXTREMELY slow and let the water roll off.
User avatar #79 to #78 - juhoy (05/31/2012) [-]
but who would try to go across a lake or something...
it might take days because theres no friction to make you move

or small, 1cm holes all over the ball....
#13 to #11 - pulu (05/30/2012) [-]
And you could easily get contaminated blood or other body fluids inside the ball from those holes
User avatar #15 to #13 - pedobearproff (05/30/2012) [-]
That depends on the type of zombie. Most need a solid bite, not just any bodily fluid touching in a wound.

either way, the balls glass would need to be fairly thick, so unless you are shins deep in blood for long amounts of time, only a few drops at most would get in. still better odds then without the ball.
