Even if a zombie apocalypse was possible, there would be no survivors. If enough people on earth were infected to consider the disaster an apocalypse, than it would obviously be airbourne or waterbourne. Meaning that only people in extremely uninhabitable places would live without getting auto infected, and even then, you would die off quickly because of the environment. I don't understand peoples mindsets about zombies and their thinking of "As long as I don't get bitten I won't get infected, so if I have enough guns I will live" No, a zombie simply breathing on you might be enough to infect you. Its completely illogical.

Fucking madagascar would probably survive because they'd shut down everything.

The zombies would be dead before we bat an eyelid.

1) Heat destroys them (expansion of gas in the body makes them explode)
2) Cold destroys them (freezer burn, and they will literally freeze with no methods of warming)
3) They're at the bottom of the food chain ie. natural predators galore
4) They don't recover from damage. They'll be in pieces within days.
5) Military forces of the world. GTFO.

Or maybe any survivors could escape to remote regions of the world? And there are several things you can buy to prevent airborne infection for relatively cheap. I live in northern Canada with miles of natural land barriers that would protect me. Also the zombies would freeze to death trying to get up here because they wouldn't have warm clothes or know how to build shelter or fire, which is essential to survive in remote cold rain forests. If survivors could make it up here in the event of a zombie apocalypse they'd be home free.

Well there are different types of diseases that aren't airborne, and only transferred through bodily fluids, blood, saliva etc, which might be the case, if we think creatively. If that is the case, then prolonged survival is indeed possible, unless smaller insects and animals become infected, then you won't be able to survive for long, due to animals being hard to outrun, and insects being hard to hide from.

Exactly,so thinking about that kind of scenario would be pointless because there would be no hope, unless you had the most comfortable gas mask in the world AND you could somehow eat through it. Sometimes people just like thinking about things and this is something that COULD, feasibly, happen so why not? You know what I mean?

Yeah, the whole situation is very terrifying and realistic until you pull the curtain down and see all the shit that makes it highly illogical. By all accounts, a virus that turns you into a crazed monster is totally possible, but if that was the case, than the national guard and government take care of it rather quickly, and if they couldn't, than it obviously is so contagious that surviving is literally impossible anyway.

Then you also have to consider the fact that they might have lost because of the scale they were trying to survive on. It would be hard to concentrate knowing that one of the 32 other soldiers standing around could be infected. Not to mention the zombies all that gunfire would attract. However, if you just stayed in your house for three weeks and only slipped out with a crowbar to grab some food every once in a while then it might be possible...
