Longer, better story, more elements, great voice actors and the fukken asom multiplayer makes portal 2 the best IMO

Originally, Portal was just a two hour extra tacked on to the Orange Box, something to play inbetween the new Half-Life episode and Team Fortress 2. I went into it expecting great gameplay, and I got it; what I didn't expect was some of the best story writing of any game, ever. It's very rare to find myself immersed in what was basically a minigame, but I had a genuine connection to the player character and the environment after about five minutes. Portal 2 continued that high standard of immensely good and amusing game-writing, while expanding upon the already flawless gameplay. If you want to know what's so special about it, Portal and Portal 2 are currently being sold as a pack on Steam for about 20 bucks; buy them, and play them in order. If you can get through all the levels without vomiting, you'll love it forever.
