I don't think he left of his own will, I can see azel and alastair being there, since it is a survive of the fittest place, maybe a few archangels like Gabriel.

I think his little crazy fit was just an act since he woke up, not sure what the disappearing act was about. Azazel and Alister will surely make an appearance... do you think the angels go to purgatory?

according to cas, when he was trying to get the souls for his war in heaven, all the dead angels, demons and supernatural things go there, so they are bound to be there.

I had my mind on monsters only. Angels, demons, and ghosts should be excluded from that. Especially demons and ghosts because they originate from humans.

true, but you never know. they never fully explained the place, even with Eve coming out of the damn thing. since she was in there for so long, there could be monsters we've never seen.
