i think its more about the generic nature of all their songs.

It's sort of a meme/internet joke. We just joke about hating them. They're not that bad, but all of their songs sound the same and the lead singer's a douchebag.

Nickelback just sort of "sold out" as everyone likes to say. I thought their newest album was pretty nice though, and their much older stuff like "If Everyone Cared" and "Saving Me" are some of my all-time favorite songs. I don't know what everyone else's deal with them is.

I like their cover of "Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting". Getting memories from Desert Combat mod for Battlefield 1942....Those were the days.

My friends dad is actually the singer of Creed. And by "friend" i mean complete douchebag kid I know who goes to my school. But both the singers nephew and son go to my school, i both know them, and from what i can tell they are douchebags. no doubt it comes from their father.
