why does everyone hate Nickelback so much? I actually like a few of their songs

It's sort of a meme/internet joke. We just joke about hating them. They're not that bad, but all of their songs sound the same and the lead singer's a douchebag.

Nickelback just sort of "sold out" as everyone likes to say. I thought their newest album was pretty nice though, and their much older stuff like "If Everyone Cared" and "Saving Me" are some of my all-time favorite songs. I don't know what everyone else's deal with them is.

I went to one of their shows they threw free beer into the crowd how could people hate a band who gives out free alcohol??

My friends dad is actually the singer of Creed. And by "friend" i mean complete douchebag kid I know who goes to my school. But both the singers nephew and son go to my school, i both know them, and from what i can tell they are douchebags. no doubt it comes from their father. Btw i don't expect u believe me, but if i have pics of the kid

i think its more about the generic nature of all their songs.
