It depends on how the "little bit of breaking the law" is done.
I think there is a law in England that you can drink from age 11 in your own home when supervised by an adult, or something like that, but it also restricts the amount you can drink.

Mind you it's all about how you teach drinking and alcohol to kids.
I myself like to think I was taught relatively well, I didn't really drink much from 16-18, like maybe a few times a year, if that, and since then I have barely drank.

Most kids I see today just drink to get drunk and so do people my age too (20 btw), and nothing else. A minor few might drink for taste and stuff but I have not seen a significant amount to say that they're only looking for a small buzz to relax.
Mind you that's also the more clubbing/partying stuff, which I just don't get. Surely if you're gonna have fun you want to remember it. XD

In Denmark it's 16 for <16% alchol and 18 for >16%, but thats only for buying it, so technically you wouldn't get arrested for giving a baby beer (coming to think of it that's pretty fucked up) It's almost a tradition for people to get hammered on the last day of primary school, where most of them are 15

yeah some people do but most people don't. when i was 14 most people i was close with got cigarettes from a Pakistani working at tobacco plus, and whiskey from a friends older brother

funny, in canada (the town i'm in at least) people start drinking at about 14 on average, myself at about 13

also, in canada as a general it's illegal to posess drugs (and alcohol if underage) but it's not illegal to be high (or drunk)

and as for smokes it's illegal to be sold cigs but not to obtain or consume them, funny how there's loopholes almost encouraging parents to get this shit for their kids before some creepy dude does first

I would tell people to wait until the girl is at the age of consent because the consequences are much more dire than drinking alcohol underage.

Personally I waited simply because I have/had no interest in anything that alters the mind. I was alone in this however as pretty much everyone I know started around 14 including my roomate who was 18 and drank with our 19 year old RA in the dorm, so yeah no fucks given here.
