and to that same effect, just because I'm Hispanic, I wouldn't walk up to a stranger and say "I'm brown and I'm happy about it!" and I'm 99% sure that no ones randomly approached you and told you "I'm _____ and I'm happy about it!"

and besides, I really wouldn't consider myself a color. It really doesn't feel right identifying myself as such, I feel more comfortable saying that I'm a proud Dominican.

Maybe you're just taking the wrong approach to it by saying you're proud to be a color, instead of saying that you're proud of were your ancestors roots lay. If you're Irish for example, and made a status saying "Damn, I'm proud to be an Irishman." I highly doubt you'll receive any negative feedback.

I'n England there is a annual family march called ''march for England'' It takes place on st. Georges day, I went there with my family, we were greeted by a political group called the U.A.F (United against fascism) They threw bottles needles and bricks at us. children where present.

So there's a Independence Day-esque Holiday, and you were at a march to show your pride in your country and people were throwing shit at you guys over politics.

I really don't see the connection to racism. This seems more like a political issue.
