Mac Upgrade

I used to use a mac before i got a laptop, in my opinion i dont like mac becase it does not have word, powerpoint, and all that stuff which i need for school it also has only one web browser which i prefer firefox and google chrome over sifarie becase i have had better speeds with. and your picture is not related becase im going to to take a wild guess and say you use a mac and it seems like you are kinda butt hurt about people hating what you use you can hate all you want on mine i dont care it works it does what i need and i like it. I rest my case :)

I've used my friend's mac and I just really don't like the operating system at all. It's just not as user friendly as windows is as far as navigating and operating goes. Safari is a terrible web browser, absolute trash in my opinion. I use google chrome which is of course available for mac too, and to be honest I think that internet explorer sucks... just nowhere near as much as safari. It just seems like the mac OS designers have done all the constructing of their system while having broom handles shoved up their asses.

Mac makes some nifty hardware with the ipad and ipod touch devices and I do like the touch operating systems that they use for those, and they do build quality products... I just hate the way they design the operating functions of their computers. And that whole one button mouse thing... that's gotta be one of the stupidest design schemes of all time. That's like building a guitar with one string. Why not have 6 of them so that you can actually have a diversity of controls on hand, in order to produce some complex actions by your commands? We can easily handle so much more than one button, so why waste all that possibility for control, just because you don't want to admit that you suck and that you want to start being like PC?

It's just one of those unsolvable mysteries I guess.

The Mac (last I checked) is better at artistic applications than the PC, whereas the PC is more useful for industrial/practical uses. Just gotta use the right tool for the job at hand.

You forgot to mention that, while it does very few things better than a PC (you do know Macs are PCs, right?) Macs cost twice as much for the same hardware in a Mac case.

Hm... good point. I suppose I just didn't understand it much because I've never owned a single Mac product in my life.

id rather use a pc and do everything efficiently for cheap then spend a couple thousand for a mac that does things to meh standards and cant do everything.

I never really understood the whole "war" between Mac and PC. I have a PC, my boyfriend has a Mac. I hate a few little things about Macs (price, most definitely), but I also like a few things as well.

I don't know what people that complain on the price do in order to overreact the price so much. I do use a PC, so don't think I am protecting Apple itself, but my current school gives out a MacBook Pro for EACH student which after the three years of education are allowed to buy for roughly 140-150 USD. And they're not even re-sold or anything. They gave us them in the box, letting us install the OS and start them up. And my school isn't even expensive. It's a regular school which anyone is allowed to go to.
