I've heard an explanation of this that involves the fact that everything we experience has to be filtered through our brains before we're aware of it, the minimal delay of processing allowing us to think two events happen at the same time even if they're slightly apart.

In this case, your alarm goes off, your brain is registering the alarm going off as you're continuing to dream, and fabricates a reason for the sound to exist within the dream for the sake of keeping things consistent.

You start to hear the ringtone first. Then your brain quickly puts a reasonable scene into your mind, while you sleep and then you wake up. You dont wake up and then the ringtone starts. You are still asleep for a quick moment of crossboarder, because your brain can process things much faster than you´d think, its enough to set up these little 5 second scenarios in a splitsecond, to confess you, you first dreamed and then heard the song.

It's as if the dream is pre planned.
for example i might see a person who is about to punch me. and I wake up when I someone punches me in real life.

does this only happen to me or anyone of you?

It works like this.
You only dream for a maximum of 20 minutes a night, but whilst sleeping, your concious mind is obviously out of work, allowing your subconscious to come into play. The aspect of time is perceived differently in your subconscious, and the catatonic state you're in is elongated, which makes it seem longer.
Whilst sleeping, your subconscious mind can manipulate what your concious mind perceives in reality. The alarm clock you hear is being heard in real time; alerting your concious mind to come back into play. During these couple of seconds, your subconscious mind does some last minute reworking of your dream, changing the plot as it falls back into submission and you begin to awake.

In short, your subconscious changes your dream in the final moments before waking. What seems like an hour long period in dream time, may only be a couple of seconds in real time. Your concious mind hears the noise of the alarm, relays it to your subconscious, which integrates the sound to your dream.

The last time that happened to me I was asleep while American dad was on and I was dreaming my fiancee was talking in Steve's voice then suddenly we were actually in the cartoon and I woke up and the episode that was happening in my dream was the one on tv. But this happens a lot to me with different things.

I once had a dream that i woke up, walked around aimlessly for a minute, looked at the clock (said 7:16), then layed back down where I was asleep. Woke up, looked at the clock, it said 7:16.

Dreams time things so well! One time (though not sure if the same) I dreamt I was riding a bike, and just as I turned, I felt as if the bike was gonna tip over, and I woke up feeling like I almost fell off my bed. This is why I hate going to bed super tired, lol.

That's happened to me a few times... And I say " **** that's an annoying ringtone!"

This **** happens to me on a regular bases. The only difference is I actually die or something before my alarm sounds. For example: Last night I actually had a dream where I was at a friends house and I was stoned. He never likes it when I come over stoned then he pulled out these huge metal poles and he starts flying. Then he threw one right at my face and right as it hit me my alarm sounded. Another one when I was really little. Like 6. There was a washing machine and it kept spinning and there was a timer. When the timer hit zero I jolted up from my bed. This was a school day by the way. Right when I woke up, 3 seconds later my dad came into my room because he was going to wake me up for school. For the rest of the year I thought I had psychic powers.

I have dreams like this all the time. It's really annoying because I often wake up late.

I had a dream that XYZ happened, and this guy was about to punch me in the stomach, and I woke up to my brother dropping a full backpack on my stomach.
