MFW you'd most likely fail all physical, mental, and combat requirements from the US Army.

hey fucktard ROTC you have to keep a 3.75 and serve eight years doing one combat tour during your time in college and at least three more during your eight years, if he got killed it would be a fucking tragedy because he dies a hero, if you got killed who would give a fuck? you're some whiny bitch who has probably done nothing with his life thus far. no one would give a fuck about you so stop acting like you're better than someone who gives themselves up to serve the country they love. eat a dick, choke on it while drowning on the cum and die.

A bunch of middle class kids who are pissed off because they set themselves into debt by buying every Apple product on their credit card?

That's why it's called a poverty draft dude. Rich people get poor people to fight surreptitiously arranged wars that profit them as a community, and then when you're done you're drummed out back to a country that's growing more and more divided via socioeconomic factors.

Is Occupy Wall St. Still going on?
I haven't heard anything about it since last fall.

I think the press just got bored and moved on.

except being in the military is one of the biggest handouts ever, aside from US prisons. Getting paid with tax dollars, using said tax dollars to buy a house, all the while those who paid their fucking wages have their houses foreclosed upon. On top of all that, they kill people with no legal repercussions.

Yea, must be real proud to be in the army.

It bothers me that people are so dumb that they think being in the army is admirable. Perpetuation of war and death is very far from admirable.

People generally join the military because they want to high to protect our lives and way of life. Meanwhile, you sit t your computer and insult them, something you wouldn't be able to do without them fighting for us. Pic related.

I know someone who was going through a rough beginning of life and admits if he didn't join the army he would have been in jail or dead by now. The army gave him a focus, gave him a future, gave him a European wife and children, allowed him to travel the world and gave him an education he would otherwise have never gotten. He escorted Prince William and Kate Middleton while they were in Yellowknife, North West Territories, Canada and had met on many occasions the Canadian Prime Minister Harper and the Canadian Defence Minister McKay. He got to where he was through hard work, determination and respect for himself because he knew he deserved the best chance in life, the army was his best chance. It's not everyones option but for a lot of people it's a opportunity that is worth it. This man, my dad.

I meant more for the fact that he is a Prime Minister, a person who is part of the country's history.

I've only known two people in any branch of the military that didn't whine about hard work. Yeah, having to run and shit is hard but anyone can do it. And all but those two said people claimed that they were better than 'civilians' because they know how to use guns. Personally, from all I've heard, all the training and shit you do is fun. Maybe not the running and push ups, but the guns and knives. And after that, a lot of them go out and party for shits and giggles. That sounds like the life of an average American with just a little more physical labor than most jobs. There's very little thought involved in shooting people you don't know. I'd rather see brains than brawn.

Clearly you've never shot someone.

Taking a life is hard, and most soldiers remember exactly how many lives they've claimed in their service. Not out of pride, but out of regret. They don't want to kill. It's their duty to their country and the people they live to protect.

Sorry, but i would rather be poor than have a 50/50 chance of getting shot or blown up.

I think a lot of the "1% / 99%" protests were based upon Marxism, which is very outdated.
Even the updated "Neo-Marxism" is starting to become outdated now.

It's very true, it really only takes a couple bad people at the top to fuck it up for everyone.
Until we have perfect people, we cannot have a perfect system.

Anyone else notice he's "the 1% of the 99%"?
#62 to #19 - tycus (05/19/2012) [-]
i think he meant the 1% of the american population that is in the army

As if he's the only one that works to get anywhere. Well you aint accomplished anything yet sport. And unlike you, most people have to get themselves into debt to go to college. Or should we all just join the army to fight, kill and maybe die just so we can get a college degree?
User avatar #12 to #11 - LocoJoe (05/19/2012) [-]
Because all that debt is so fucking worth it.
#23 - N. Korean citizen (05/19/2012) [-]
All of that is fine and all, however the hard work of the private sector is ending up paying for your salary, benefits, education and training without reeking the same rewards. So don't brag at the hand that feeds you jackass.
#22 - N. Korean citizen (05/19/2012) [-]
I just hope so hard that a fucking sniper gets him right after this picture was taken. What a dumb-ass, that's not what the protest was about... stupid mother fucker.
