as for the second one, these two bands arent metal, but screamo - , check Raegn definitely, and maybe orchid.

If you intend to listen to metal you should find bands that cover the whole spectrum.
Start with their soft material and move into their heavy stuff to easy your way in.
Breaking Benjamin or Bullet for My Valentine are a good place to start.
I'd say A7X, but I wouldn't want to risk creating another one of their insufferable fanboys. They do have a pretty well rounded repertoire though.
