I have a theory on religions.   
You know how the modern world (1950s onwards) has seen an increase in youth subcultures (punks, goths, hippies, teddy boys, etc.), some that people stick with for life.   
Most of these subcultures have specific norms and values, dress codes, and appropriate behaviour specific to that subculture.   
So do religions.   
What if religions are just really old subcultures, which over time have developed and formed Gods and Prophets and myths?
