there is a reason the actual books about james bond were written by a failed spy... (according to tom clancy in his novels anyway, he mentions how they were written by someone who had no clue what they were doing)

Ian Fleming wasn't really a failed spy. He worked in Royal Naval intelligence, contributing towards the scheme which was the basis for Operation Mincemeat during World War II which was highly successful. He also worked with Teddy Roosevelt's special intelligence representative between London and Washington during the war, assisted in the creation of the department which would go on to become the CIA and formed a specialist unit of commandos that mostly operated in the Mediterranean later on during the war.

also james bond is an alias. this is y so many men can play him in different time periods and have the same name. all 007's r james bond all 006's r jack giddings and so on
