This state is full of backwards dipshits man, N.C. is going to be "That guy" when it comes to gay marriage, ive had people try to convince me its Gods will that gays be kept separate, that by keeping them from getting married the bigots are "saving the gays from themselves" since apparently all gays are "sinister and lead destructive lifestyles", That gay families cant function properly and the kids will grow up misguided and backwards.
But this one recently takes it all, Theres a teacher at our school who also preaches, ironically hes racist as hell (Has told a Philipino kid they used to shoot "his kind" during the war, the Korean War, this kid isnt remotely korean). Hes come up behind me and litterally choked me to the point i couldnt breathe for a few seconds with his walkie-talkie wire at lunch, he thinks its funny, punches the guys pretty hard, etc. But recently he was going around trying to get people to come to his Church (A dont in public school but it happens anyway) and he came to our table and we ask him about our gay friend whos at the table and he looks at our gay friend, looks at us and says "Everyone here is welcome to come, except for [Gay friend]" and walks off.

Are you kidding? Unemployment is way up, half of college grads can't find a job, people are leaving the work force left and right, gas prices through the roof. But oh no. Gays can't play house. That's the issue that really get's people going. Not the fact that they can't find a job and can barely drive anywhere anymore.
