Correction:
Your heart is what is keeping you alive, for it is supplying oxygen to the brain with continuous blood flow. You can live without a brain, though your movement would be comparable to that of a vegetable.

No dude, you're wrong

You'd die if quite a few of your organs decided to just quit on you, including your heart and brain.

Well since there are organisms born with no heart and still a brain, but no organisms with no brain and still a heart, I'd say your argument is pretty invalid.

Your brain is the one sending signals to the heart to keep it moving at a consistent rate. Otherwise it would slack off and let you die.

And how does the brain keep sending those signals? The blood flow from the heart.

Thus, a loop is formed and if any part of it is gone the body dies.

Point is, they both need each other. Without a brain, your heart wouldn't pump. without a heart, your brain wouldn't send signals. In you're original comment, you stated that we could live without brains, and that is FALSE.

Yes, I said we could "live" without brains. Did I say we could "survive" without them? No, I did not. Are you familiar with the case of Terry Schiavo? With the medical technology of today, it is very possible to "live" without brain function, but with the ventilator keeping you alive, that would just be cruel.
Ergo, "living" without brain function is possible. "Surviving" is a different story.
