Well, you should be able to tell if you have heard a joke before, when someone tells it again. You should be able to know if you've seen a youtube video if someone shows it to you. It's not the post that should be memorized, that is a waste of time, but every man should be able to know if he has heard a joke before or not.

INTERNET ISN'T THE BEST PLACE TO LOOK FOR WHEN ONE IS SEARCHING FOR ORIGINALITY Pretty much everything is recycled from time to time, for newer people to see, and simply because the content is funny. I don't see why it's that much of a problem. It may seem irritating when you've seen the content before, AND that it hits frontpage, but then again, there's no reason to have such hostility just because you've seen something before. You could always just let it be, and that's it.
