Your logic has a flaw, you would get angry that you had jetpack but can't use it. But then you would be happy that you could use it. But then you would get angry that you couldn't use it anymore. It's a cycle.

Got to agree with anon here. Personally, I enjoy the occasional debate. They're good for critical thinking, and they really help you understand where you're opponent is coming from.

I have a good example. I'm on the debate team at school, and for the longest time, I was super pro-choice. But then debating it, I realized, wow, this really is a moral conundrum. I didn't change my opinion, but I gained more respect for pro-lifers.

Also, just agreeing to disagree feels like just apathetic. We all know that there is only one correct answer. So why not team together with the power of debate, to figure out who is right? Eventually we will know. Maybe not in our lifetimes, but hey, I'm optimistic.

Are you replying to the wrong thing? Cuz I have know idea what you're talking about. I didn't mention people's situations or their mistakes. I was talking about the value of debating.

Oh and yeah... there is only one correct answer, at least as far as religion is concerned. Both sides can't be right by definition- their views are opposites of eachother. Just look at facts. Is there or is there not a God. We don't know now. But there is one correct answer to that question- yes or no.
