People would also lose their favorite "historical stories" like the Flood and the Creation Story if you throw out the Old Testament. Well, in Hebrew, they basically have this way of saying things that has to do with implied tone or something, that basically transcends what can be said in English. It's not like they could tack on a ", dumbshit" to show sarcasm or something. Hebrew is a complicated language.

And to tell you the truth I've never had a christian (Especially the old people) Tell me the old testament meant nothing after the new testament. They did some tests in America where people just had to answer questions about religion. General questions about any religion and atheists/agnostics scored a lot higher than christians. They scored highest in fact.
