decent but it completely butchered the story. annabeth is supposed to be a cunning, atheltic genius. in the movie she was just the love interest. grover isnt black and far from just a comic relief. percys character was ok but hes supposed to be 12 in the movie, not 16-17.the ending was nothing like it shouldve been (hades isnt a villain and luke shouldnt have died). but other than that it was an ok movie.

I can do one better, they are based on Inuit tribes, while northern water tribe is based on Aleut people.
In both cases skin tone is actually very dark, with thin almond shaped eyes to shield from the glare.
casting them as white is a freaking insult.

This had the potential to be a great movie, but they gave the production of it to somebody who probably didn't even watch one episode like the guy who made that live-action movie of DBZ...he fucked everything on that...
On the other hand, what if micheal bay made a movie of avatar when they are grown? thanks to that time lapse you can introduce new plot, enemies, etc. bringing something new to the series, and it's micheal bay, so you'll know at least the fire/explosions would look great...and there might be alot of action...

fair enough but unfortunately the problem with that is that most things (book adaptations) could do MUCH better animated rather than live action for visual purposes. the problem with live action is that CGI is expensive, so is animation, but none the less CGI is expensive and its much harder to get the desired result
