I really don't care about red thumbs on my comment or that this is a repost because I wanted to share this. Many people don't like the teachings of religion just because they feel that it is stupid, but this picture:
<-- right here
This is (was) my friend Josh. Josh was gay and as we lived here in the so called "bible belt" of America here in Ky he was always tortured, picked on, and even beat up for being gay. No other reason than that he was gay.
Josh killed himself to escape all of these problems because he couldn't take it anymore.
I cried when I heard and thought how stupid is it that just because somebody reads a book written a long time ago that they are the morally right of this country and can cause a person to drive themselves to suicide because of their hatred and bigotry.

This is my Friend Josh, and he is the reason that I cannot stand religion.

If you have to kill yourself to escape, you give to many fucks about what people think.

Yeah I know, I wish that he wouldn't have done that but it's hard to escape all the hate and prejudice around here man

Yea just sad that people think that is necessary.

I must say I'm sorry about your friend, but I hope you do know that there are kind religious people out there that aren't bigots. So I know you hold a grudge against religion(I don't blame you) but blame the pricks that caused it, and not the religion it's self. I know plenty of religious people that don't care about if someone is gay or not.

Not at all, as I said I come from the "bible belt" of America so to dislike or disprove of every single religious person I know would leave me without a lot of friends. There are good people out there, but around here it is still mainly guided by intolerance and hate.

I feel sorry for you, I personally can't stand extreme religious people. Because you can't have a nice discussion without God coming into play, or that a group of people are wrong. There really is no getting through to them.
