People eat dogs in other countries. Just because they're cute, it doesn't mean they shouldn't be slaughtered and sold for consumption just like other animals.
If it was 500 battery hens would we all be this appalled? Would we not purchase and consume a mother-fucking bargain bucket without so much as a precursory guilt-trip?
Perhaps it's the custom in whichever country this is, and we should not let our petty European/American sensibilities stand in the way of their food market.
