the hypocracy of calling americans all americans ignorant and being ignorant is too damn high!

seriously though, europeans act like americans think of everyone like one huge stereotype, yet thats a stereotype. Almost all americans I know are way more cultured and understand international topics then alot of non-americans. I bet you've never even been to america, and if you have you probably havent even spoken to enough americans to prov your hypothesis about us being ignorant inbreeds true. Americans LOVE foreigners, as long as they dont dis-obey our laws and come into the country illegally. I go to europe every summer and lover it, buts its a different experience.

tl;dr: America may have ignorant people, but your being ignorant by thinking we are all ignorant, and plenty of americans love foreigners.

inb4 red thumbs for protecting my country and grammatical errors.

I'm European and I love Americans. I dislike the majority of the american government, that's all.

I have nothing against Americans BUT I dare say Europeans have a much better idea of what America is like then Americans do about European countries. Gathering from what I've heard from Americans online you just get patriotic bullshit forced down your throat twenty four seven :p being English I've grown up seeing a SHIT LOT of American TV etc and I know TV isn't real life but it can give you a good idea of a countries culture. I've spoken to Americans before and they've had know idea what country I'm from just because I don't have and English accent they are familiar with.

The proportions on that map make my head hurt... Antarctica is the biggest continent and it looks like the smallest here, also where is Africa? What are we supposed to do without that giant desert?
#90 to #66 - deathplayer (04/30/2012) [-]
antarctica: 14,000,000 km² (5,400,000 square miles)

asia: 44,579,000 km² (17,212,000 square miles)

antarctica looks fucking huge on most maps, but it's actually not that big.

It's cause it's the Mercator projection, that's why Greenland appears to be bigger than South America, which it's definitely not, and also why Antarctica appears huge. It's cause on that map the further North or South you get the more distorted the image gets.

the map is a stereotype of Americans : they don't know that Africa exists, think that their country is the best etc.

No, I got that, it still doesn't help me rationalize the tiny continents. Also, source for that gif?
#77 to #73 - molestingbabys (04/30/2012) [-]
that's the stereotype of Americans that they only know their country good and know nothing e about the other ones (the proportions, the place, their economy etc.) and sorry don't have the source...

ps. expecting a lot of red thumbs tomorrow when i log back in....

Please stop posting that fucking picture. 2 reasons why
1) You made it to the moon first. Woop-de-fucking-doo. What did that actually accomplish? Anyone could've gotten to the moon and someone was bound to do it eventually. What does having your country land on it first do for your country that it doesn't for any other? Nothing that's what.
2) The american flag on the moon is now a blank white flag. Why? Cause fucking solar radiation fades colours you dolt!

i'm not an american but neither am i judging you because i know nothing about your country and my opinion is not in that picture yet my opinion is just a vague truth and has no value, i have no mind on the internet because the internet is just like real life nobody cares if you're not important. My opinion is just what you replied to the picture that somebody else made for "funny sarcasm" is doesn't matter for anyone and has no truth unless somebody with great value stands behind that opinion.
