Correction, I don't like it because I've never tried it and thusly hold no opinions on it whatsoever.
Plus I'm lazy and windows works, so I wont be trying it any time soon.

Only reason why I don't use Linux is because most programs only run on Windows and Mac.

im dual booted to windows 7 and mint linux. I just use windows for gaming because dual boot is less of a pain in the ass than WINE

Yup besides considering the fact that linux is freeweare and it's made so you don't have to pay a ton of money to have an OS or any other software (plus the fact that it's not compatible with most games and regular programs is because of arrangements between payed OS companys and other software comps.)

Linux leaves alot of room for movement that operating systems like say.. Windows 7 and OSX don't offer you.
If Linux came in a more reliable format than it currently does, I'd be using it permanently instead of just having it on a netbook.
Windows is not meant to be lightweight, and to hell if I'm paying £2,000 for a Macbook.

The wierd thing is, I have a friend who is a fanatic with Linux and Ubuntu and he can actually gotten some windows games working. There are even forums who have tutorials to do so.

Linux does leave a lot a movement for one to "pimp" his own OS, the thing is you need to understand quite a lot about computers to use it, but if you do understand you can "pimp" it to make it as much as windows as you like (this tho is apart from modifications to play games and the such on it) but you can make it look pretty like a MAC and work very simply like windows while still mantaining that flexibility and the proud knowlodge of not being a slave of the system.

the only problems i have with macs are that you can't play most games, and i know people that could make a mac out of spare parts that works as good as a new one
