If you reread it, he said that it was designed for 100,000 kt. He never said that the bomb was 100,000 kt. He also adds, "but they thought there would be too much radioactive waste" which would further imply that it was not 100,000 kt.

I did not comment that he implied that it was 100 000 kilotons. I commented the reason why they scaled it down.
