I swear, the more I try to understand people, the more enigmatic people become. I don't understand why people feel the constant need to find a group of people, and bash them for no apparent reason. So you don't believe in god. Ok? End of story, I don't care. So you do believe in god, again, i dont care. I disagree with aspects from both sides, and i agree with aspects from both sides. "Hurr durr god isnt real" "hurr durr your going to hell cause you dont agree with me" Shut up. We are human fucking beings, quit hating on people. The world is shitty enough, you dont need to add too it with your sensless hate. Remember, no matter what you are, what you look like, what you believe in, at the end of the day, we all draw breath, we all bleed red. We're all human.

Honestly, it's cool that a lot of Atheists don't believe in a God.
But I hate it when people say "I am Atheist, I don't believe in GOD."
You SHOULD be saying "I am Atheist, I don't believe in ANY GODS."

Atheists single out Christians, and it is EXTREMELY ridiculous.
If you expect a Christian to keep their faith to themselves, why are so many of you trying to disprove the existence of their God the moment that "I am Christian" comes out of their mouth?
The only reason to do that is being an asshole.

We can neither prove nor deny that life on other planets may exist, you don't see people hating on each other for it.

"Well so many people have been tortured and killed in the name of Christianity!"

Lots of people have also been tortured and used as slaves or killed in the name of not being white, and when people bring up the past of our ancestors and say "you're racist because of what they did to us" you get pretty pissed off, no?


If I tell someone I am a Buddhist, nobody jumps down my throat about how that shit is all a sham.

If I were to post "I am Christian." it would turn into a shitstorm of people telling me how stupid I am.

TL;DR,

A lot of Funnyjunk Atheists need to grow up.

Some people just don't understand why some people need religion. I know some people hate it for its ignorance, in-your face attitude, and its contradictory, but non-believers can be accused of 2/3 of those which makes them almost as bad.

Religion gives some people hope that one day better things will come, reason for why bad things happen, it helps some people keep their sanity and even save lives.

I'm not trying to bash anyone, I'm just saying it may not make sense but it does do some good in the modern world, people just don't seem to realize it.

The majority of Atheists on this site (Not Atheists in general) Tend to completely ignore this logic. Most of them act like they have all the answers and know everything about what they're arguing, yet haven't read or tried to take in any of the Bible, which they cannot prove incorrect. In fact, some of them actually do something like google bible verses to argue their point, which is more often than not out of context (Christians do this a lot too, to be fair). As much as I love Mark Twain, some backing to his quote would help a little bit in giving him a good argument.

I'm atheist but I've scanned the bible.

I spoke to a christian friend and I explained why I just don't believe it, backing it up with a few things from the bible.
