Just about to finish my first year of college, and hoping to go to med. school. Is it seriously like that? Inb4 stupid question, but really wondering.

its not really like that. i just finished my third year (chemical engineering) and for the most part the faculties are pretty good. most of the TA's albeit nice, see you as children, and the professors really only want to do research.
And you will forget most of what you learn since the pace of the content being taught to you is like drinking water from a fire hose. Its really the overarching concepts they want you to learn and remember each year.

I didn't mean literally like the content, I realize its exaggerated. I meant that its pretty to normal to not know what your doing for most of the time there, because sometimes I feel like I just wouldn't be able to keep up with it and kind of feel down about myself.
Going into college next year and I'm thinking the same thing. I'd imagine people looking down on you for sure, but I'd want to know at least some of what I'm doing by my third year.
