I'd be for bull fighting if they actually fought like men. Instead they just wear it out, and keep throwing spears in it over and over. Till finally they can approach it with a sword and kill it in 'one' blow. Regardless of the twenty or so spears in it. No, if they jumped on the bull, and fought it with a knife or their bare hands, it would be admirable, and the most impressive thing of all time.

Just a knife is fair as fuck.
Even two knives cuz the bull has two horns and all those rippling muscles...

Because that's a pretty badass way to kill a bull for meat once it's too old for breeding. And it's not just torturing them until they're enraged, then killing them while not even giving them a chance.

If it's gonna be a sport, it shouldn't be so easy for one player.

You know they raise them especially for fighting, don't you? It's not that they got useless for meat, the point is they were raised with a purpose.

No, too old for breeding is what I said. Breeding is sex. They use the meat after they're killed, but bulls are raised to be good stock for fat cattle. Then if it's in its prime, they send the bull into the rodeo, or to the matadors. Rodeo, they use them till they're too old, then they might keep using them for breeding purposes. After a while though they send them to the slaughter. Matadors do the slaughtering, and you can usually buy some of the meat of the bulls after the fights.

I misread breeding, I saw "feeding".
So, even after taking your point as a valid one, why do they keep doing it?

Oh trust me, I think it's wrong. But only because the bull has almost no chance to win. Me and my friend plan on going hunting one day with just knives. You think about it, it's faster, gives the animal a chance, and they aren't bleeding out for so long like they would be after shooting them in the wrong place. I'm not against hunting, but I do respect the animals, and think that hunters who do so are good people. But when hunters disrespect the corpse, and treat it like a game, that sickens me. One of my childhood friends went hunting with his dad, and his dad cut off the deer's balls and threw them around. That's the most disrespectful thing ever, and that happens because they're used to aim and shoot. No effort, no struggle, no sense of the animal's strength.

So, that's why I think that if bull fighting continues, it should be with a knife, or a sword since it is a fucking bull.

Well, I respect your point of hunting correctly, and I also hate the fact that actual hunters aim and shoot and that's It, and that's not fair for the animal.
But still, bulls are tortured before they get killed, and that sickens me.

Well, I mean in general. People eat meat, and when a bull is too old to breed, they usually just send them to the slaughter house. And if you're going to fight a bull and give it a fighting chance, might as well make the playing field even. It's not for personal meat necessarily, just instead of hooking them up to a machine and having it hopefully slaughter them.

Well who wants to put their life on the line for something like that?? If they did it wouldn't be for any minimum wage shit, thus the beef industry would fucking fail.

Well no. It's not paid for by the beef industry. It'd just be changing the rules of current bull fighting. Because it isn't bull fighting right now. And they sell the meat of the bull afterward, so they at least put it to as much use as a regular old cow. It's not how they focus the beef industry. It would just be a way to put the bulls to use for entertainment, while not being so horribly unfair. So, instead of matadors using capes to distract the bull and stabbing it with spears for thirty minutes, why not have a dude jump on a bull, wrestle it, take out a knife, and kill it in one swift blow? Less painful for the bull, more badass, and generally better. And still using the meat. Also, it gives the bull a chance. If the bull fighter throws away his knife, the bull is distracted so the fighter can get away alive, and the bull gets to live peacefully in pastures.

By knife I mean about a seven inch blade combat knife. Not a pocket knife or anything like that. It wouldn't be one blow always, but even still, it would be faster than spears. And the whole point is to make it more fair for the bull, is it not?

The point is to make it entertaining for the bloodthirsty humans in the stadium.

Eh, they might see somebody get majorly hurt. And it would be like watching WWE, but with a knife and a bull. It probably will never happen because it's "part of their culture." -.-

because food and clothing is a "Need" as in necessary for survival. but torture for fun is not a need, no one needs to torture or murder for fun.

You're trying to drag philosophy and morals into this. Stop and take a step back. It's never really moral to kill something. But it's understandable in practical terms if you need to kill something. Bull fighting is not practical or necessary, so it can't be justified even a little, like food can be.
Also, when you kill things for food, the intention isn't to watch it suffer. You see, it's the intent that matters here. When you eat something, the intent is to raise something and kill it so you can eat it. As a result, the actual killing usually doesn't take excruciatingly long for the animal. But in bull fighting, the intention is to watch an animal suffer. The very idea of people enjoying watching carnage is morally wrong.

Who gave the animal rights? If it amuses us, who is to say it is wrong to be amused by it?

I actually argue a lot here, lol. I think that every living thing that has a will to survive deserves rights. The animal doesn't want to be tortured, it feels pain, and it wants to live. It is a semi-rational being. Therefore, I think it has rights. Just because we think we're special, why do deserve rights and animals don't?

I prefer to flip the page there to be honest.

Just because you're "better" than something else, doesn't mean you have the right to torture it. That's the mentality royal families had. They believed that they were better than all the people in the land, because they were born in a certain family. And if we're better, then would that not mean we should act better? For if you feel entertained with torture and causing suffering, then you are simply acting like something lower on the food chain.

in the ways they prepare it in soup, it is virtually tasteless. In the dumplings, they litterally have to create the flavor with stocks and broths. The asians think it cures fucking cancer. Culture is such a good and bad thing... :P
