User avatar #477 to #43 - chupiter (04/23/2012) [-]
The funny thing about Heimdall is that he is supposed to be the whitest of all the gods. But he's kick ass anyways because i'm not a racist.

"Odin is the eternal god of Valhall" so he can't die.

#339 to #112 - N. Korean citizen (04/23/2012) [-]
All the Norse gods can die. It's a pretty big part of Norse mythology. It's how Ragnarok starts/is the end result of it
User avatar #45 to #43 - profarnsworth (04/22/2012) [-]
no odin didn't die. he almost was murdered by laufey but loki kills him so he can destroy jotunheim in revenge. also captain america's shield isnt made out of alien metal, it is made out of the rarest metal on earth. that shield was all the metal on the entire planet.
User avatar #444 to #45 - smackledorf (04/23/2012) [-]
actually, I believe that same metal is what tony stark put like .15 grams of in his ark reactor, so I'm pretty positive there's a little more... not 100% sure though.
User avatar #192 to #45 - torexofthenight (04/23/2012) [-]
No he didn't die, he entered the Odin Sleep.....
User avatar #215 to #192 - profarnsworth (04/23/2012) [-]
i said he didn't die........
User avatar #218 to #215 - torexofthenight (04/23/2012) [-]
I know, its just i feel like you should have mentioned the OdinSleep e,.,o.....
User avatar #221 to #218 - profarnsworth (04/23/2012) [-]
not relevant to his question. he asked did he die so i just mentioned the part where he almost got murdered. but yes you are right.
User avatar #225 to #221 - torexofthenight (04/23/2012) [-]
It is relevant to the question, considering he most likely confused the OdinSleep with Odin's death.
User avatar #227 to #225 - profarnsworth (04/23/2012) [-]
ohhh i see what you are saying. good call

you all are awesome, thanks. im still going to go back and watch the movie again though, cause i mean....why wouldnt i.
User avatar #73 to #45 - bothemastaofall (04/22/2012) [-]
I'm pretty sure the metal was from a meteor, so I think we can say alien metal
User avatar #75 to #73 - profarnsworth (04/23/2012) [-]
from wikipedia
"Captain America uses several shields throughout his history, the most prevalent of which is a nigh-indestructible disc-shaped shield made from an experimental alloy of steel and the fictional vibranium.[88] The shield was cast by American metallurgist Dr. Myron MacLain, who was contracted by the U.S. government, from orders of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, to create an impenetrable substance to use for tanks during World War II.[citation needed] This alloy was created by accident and never duplicated, although efforts to reverse-engineer it resulted in the discovery of adamantium"

if you dont buy that then watch the movie they say something along the lines of this.
User avatar #77 to #75 - bothemastaofall (04/23/2012) [-]
Ok fine, Im wrong
User avatar #79 to #77 - profarnsworth (04/23/2012) [-]
its cool, they change comics so much that it could have been that at one point.
