People post comments and pictures/gifs for the purpose of making people laugh (usually) and get thumbs as a result.
Anyone trying to be funny in the comment section is technically a "thumbwhore".

Not that I'm saying you're a thumbwhore, but that's not the defenition of a thumbwhore.

A thumbwhore isn't anyone who wants thumbs, because, as you said, then almost everyone would be one.

A thumbwhore uses cheap tricks like adding "like this if", or similar, to the comment(or content).

fair enough, I was just saying though, that obviously I was posting that to get thumbs, because that would mean people found it funny, which is what I want.

I don't like the rage face because it doesn't follow the original at all, and I much prefer to use IRL versions as opposed to rage faces anyways.
