Not at all.

Crack is the freebase form of cocaine. It's the smokeable form of cocaine, you can't smoke "normal" cocaine.
It's not an amphetamine, unlike crystal meth(amphetamine)

It's mostly a side-effect of the lifestyle.

Just like other stimulants like speed (amphetamine) & cocaine, crystal meth greatly reduces appetite.
You can go without food for days and not be hungry at all.
It also makes your body more active. (higher heart-rate, faster metabolism) burning calories at a faster rate.
And last but not least, users of crystal meth tend to not sleep or sleep very little when using the drug.
So instead of being active for 70% of the day, like a normal person with a normal amount of sleep per night would be, they're active for 90% - 100% of the day for instance.
Which once again causes more calories to be burned.

But the main reason is that people don't eat a lot.
I remember a while back ago when I still used to do speed from time to time that I regularly would go without food and without sleep for 4 days straight.
