False. The prototype for hell as WE know it is "Gehenna", and it is mentioned in the bible. While you are correct that OUR version of hell is influenced mostly by Dante, it did exist before him.

Now, you might not understand this considering modern culture, but it wasn't uncommon for people to live celibate. People would refrain from sex regardless of their sexuality because they felt like they could honour their God more with that lifestyle.

In Christianity, we say that people are going to Hell because they can't save themselves. It doesn't matter how much you've sinned, but Jesus would atone for all of your sins.

So if a homosexual cared about sin, he's not forced to have sex or anything. If he didn't care about honouring God, then he's just as bad as the next heterosexual man.

If you read the Bible, there is only one "unforgivable sin" and that's blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. I can't say for sure, but I think that means either not caring when you're called to be a Christian, or falling from the faith forever. Either way, it's that you didn't care until you died anyway.

Well, as far as the Bible goes, Leviticus 20:13 mentions "If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads." Basically, "they deserve to die, and brought it upon themselves." Although Christianity is more of a second-chance kind of message, Paul still mentions homosexuality to be immoral (Romans 1:26-27).

A friend of mine has researched it, though, and found that it can cause permanent damage if your partner isn't relaxed enough (even with lube, there are two levels of relaxation or something). So yeah, it was one of those laws that didn't make sense until recently they find out it's really unhealthy.

Technically, marriage is defined as a man and a woman, so it doesn't really make sense that there would be two men or two women. People make it about rights, but a homosexual can still get married and has the same rights as a heterosexual, they just don't make use of them usually.

It's not just Christianity that defines marriage like that, most cultures up until now did. Also, gay marriage is not as similar to heterosexual marriage as the media would have you believe. I can get you statistics, if you'd like.

there wasn't really much "checking" involved. can't remember the name of the town, but if you've seen year one it's the place where sodomy occurs. the bible, and other historical documents agree that it was a place of sodomy and "anti-bible like teachings", states that town supposedly was bombarded with plague or something and everyone suffered, the church says it was a message (it's in the old testament so it's more hebrew teachings) for continuing with sodomy and other frowned upon actions, others could believe it was just a coincidence, but people state god works in natural ways, so just depends on how you look at it.

what do you mean by the gay marriages? of course not all gays and lesbians have sex like one would believe, it's just the term "marriage" that will never get the churches approval. and i THINK, but not sure, the church approves on the civil union issue. that's my viewpoint at least. also disagree on gays/lesbians having kids... that to me just seems weird.

If you can trust the Bible as a source (I definitely do), it's obvious that the city was filled with homosexuality. When two angels visited, the men wanted to rape them even after they were blinded. The record in the Bible is that brimstone rained on them, and it's one of my favourite miracles because I didn't understand how it worked until archaeologists actually found the site. About where the Bible said the center of commerce was, they found a site where the ground was melted. They determined that lightening or something must have set of a natural oil basin, flinging bituminous pitch and literally raining flaming brimstone on the city.
I'd probably be in the "God usually works naturally" camps, as you can see.

Yeah, there have been gays throughout history, and there always will be some. Any Christian who really lives like Christ should shy away from any prejudice or hateful words, but we do have reasons why active homosexuality is unhealthy and now unethical towards others.
So yeah, for some churches it's a support, others are ok with it since they're not Christians anyway I guess. I also think that it's better for kids to have homosexual parents than none, but there have been studies that show difficulties come up from that.

and yeah, i think it's amazing how biblical teachings and historical events tie together. Another thing that bothers me is that everyone believes it's simply christianity, while other religions state the same thing, but no one knows about them because they're not in that area. Ex. The US was founded primarily on christianity, so it's just through time that people in the US would hear more about christianity than say, judaism, which was more european, but now it's kinda centralized in the middle east.

judaism was popular throughout the middle eastern, northern africa, and miscellaneous parts of europe, it wasn't until WWII with hitler being hitler, that a lot of people who are jewish, fled in masses to escape persecution. they originally went to north america, but people traveling to the continent was regulated and didn't allow everyone to come in for fear of spies and sabotage. so the only other place to go/only place that was within reach was the middle east and other nearby areas, and once they, they kinda just settled in without moving back.

The average protestant, which is what the majority of christians in America are, don't give two shits about anything put out by the catholic church. Well up until the last month I played the first two on my 360, then it started freezing up and shit so I'm saving up for a new one with some data transfer cables. My brother has a ps3 that I just finished brotherhood on. I heard revelations sucked but I still can't wait to play it.

im on ps3, i wasnt crazy bout revelations but im not saying it was bad, with the cross over from ezio and altier from various missions was fucking awesome! and the hook blade was cool, you can be zip lining and fall off and kill someone and all that, i hope they focus more on story with 3 insted of multiplayer.

dude, brotherhoods multiplayer was amazing, i played the beta to that like all day dude, im not dissing, but ac was originally a single player game, when i first herd of multiplayer in ac brotherhood i thought thats gay, it prolly sucks, but it was boss, i havent play acr's multiplayer, i spent the night at my friends and we played it all night on xbox, and ended up beating it, but yea, i thinks theres like 8 or 9, and you get them by getting these keys, their his memories, but i recomend it to you, you'll like it, and so far im digging the revoloutonary era for ac3
