WW2 ended in 1945.
The first wave of turkish immigrants came somewhere in the 1960's.
So actually it was really the germans who rebuilt their country, the "Gastarbeiter" were asked to come because germany had many jobs to offer and needed people to do them.
That's why it pisses us germans off when someone says something like "you ungrateful german bastards we rebuilt your country, you owe us something for helping you after WW2".

but that still doesnt change the fact that there are 15 years between 1945 and 1960.
Nobody blames them; or was expecting them to help, no problem there. But saying "we rebuilt your country" while they weren't even there is like if I said "turkey was founded by a german, you owe us something." (which is complete bullshit ofc).
