I was too, but after your first semester there, which is just a few months, you'll start to get into the groove of things, and really, your thinking youll be in there with a bunch of strangers and big classes and the work will be crazy hard but, some how in the end you learn to make friends and you wont feel like such an outcast. everyone has been a freshman at one time, it's just about adapting, and once you find a crew to hang out with, classes and hw wont seem so bad. sorry if this was boring to you but i hope it helps
In your first semester, the teacher's work shouldn't be all that hard. In highschool we are so used to worksheets and maybe 1 or 2 essays but in college, especially freshman year you'll still get some worksheets but not as many, and just more quizes or essays. and trust me, essays are good because teachers give you time to do them so its not so stressful, and they will work with you on them. yeah midterms are no fun, but like at my school i have 3 mid terms and then a final, if you bomb a mid term it's not the end of your grade, you just have to know how to manage your time, balancing friends, studying, and home life. id suggest having a study day like every tues and thurs. studying during the day will mean you dont have to study the night before a big test, countless hours of hw are now hours of studying and review. but you will do just fine, as long as you give yourself time to do your projects and time for looking over notes or the book. you will do great
well seeing how im just a freshmen in college, i hope im doing good ha
i remember really having a hard time keeping together those days before i had to move into the dorms, but, you'll get used to it, and idk what your home life is like, but you will soon appreciate just how good home life can be, getting your own personal shower, toilet, room,
i hope your college experience goes well, best wishes

Okay then. Heres a tip the first year of college will be mostly revision if the course you pick is similar to the subjects you do in school. For example I did Phyisics, Chemistry and maths in school, now I am doing general science in college which consists of Phyisics, Chemistry, Maths and Biology. That means the only subject I need to focus on is biology since I have the other courses covered already. So really first year of college is easier than school beacuse there is less subjects. It will get harder as you go through but you focus more and more on your best subects so it becomes more enjoyable. In our college anyway we don't really do esasys but we do a lot of projects that require a lot of research, maths and writing. Really the first few months of college will be just teaching you how to look at problems logicly and come to your own conclusion rather than just make you learn answers off by heart (which I had to do a lot of in my old school). I hope that makes me seem like less of a bum then my last comment.
I'm going to a completly different college. Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology in Ireland. I did'nt stay on campus but I wish I did. I probably will next year. It's really up to you. I live really far away from my college so getting there is a pain everyday. It's just an unesecary stress. If you live close it should'nt be a problem but in my opinion on campus is better than off.
Think about price aswell. But if you can afford it go for the apartment. I don't know about prices where your going to go but get as good as you can get. I would'nt like a roommate either. I know people who had hard times with there housemates and have to take serious action now with their landlord or consider moving out. Also things change a lot between friends when they move in together. So your probably right in getting your own appartment.
