It's just as good if you don't mind graphics too much and don't want some of pc exclusive games (which I personally do) and there's more people to play with online, also now more games are designed for consoles so will be easier to use on consoles and when ported might have problems (like when I got rage for pc)

PC = precision
No matter what game you are playing, you will be much more accurate if you are using a mouse and keyboard to control. Also, it can be used as a computer when not playing games. It seems pretty obvious, but people seem to miss that fact.

I always use a controller when on pc so if I ever go online I'll be dicked and if everyone does that then everyone has the same level of precision just like if everyone used a controller. That's true though if you just want a really good computer you may as well use it for games as well

I play xbox and PC. No matter what, I always end up back on PC. Despite everyone being on the same level of precision, it's still a huge difference. In COD on xbox, I jerk around so much and spray before actually aiming. In COD on PC, I use the EXACT amount of bullets to kill the person because I have locked on using perfect aim.
I'm not saying that consoles are bad by any means, I just prefer PC when playing most games. Especially RTS/FPS kind of games.
Consoles are great for 3rd person and arcade games such as Fable/Devil May Cry/Tony Hawk series.

I'm not trying to start a debate, I'm simply saying that I enjoy playing PC better and everyone can decide which is better for them.

That's exactly how I play cod and the reason I die so much but I love it that way but yeah I guess it is just Personal preference
